This is a work horse of a watch. Stylish, practical and rugged. Citizen says this watch will take you any where and we agree.
This time our review was about a specific brand so you know one of the primary things we were looking at. Citizen is a quality watch that we have recommended before and I am sure you will see us mention again.
However, many times people as what else do we look for in watches we recommend. Keep in mind that sometimes we are looking for something specific like a Citizen watch in this case but it could also be something like a smartwatch or a steampunk watch or even something more generic like a tough outdoor watch which might take precedence over some of the things we normally look for.
Excluding above, here are some signs of a good quality watch.
Weight. There is an old saying that heavy is good and a sign that a watch is reliable. While we do consider this, with the technology we have today you have have some really quality watches that are very light. So, sometimes we prefer the lighter watch.
Movement. The hands (if it has any) should move smoothly, a jerky movement is usually a sign of a cheaper watch.
Tradition. Mostly this means the brand name. Like Citizen if a company has a history of making great watches they probably still do. There are always exceptions and we have picked some of our specialty watches from lesser know makers that preform well for the price.
Accuracy. Well, this is kind obvious, right? If a watch will not keep the proper time it is not really a watch is it?
